Our lab focuses on understanding how members of the microbiota impact human health through their effects on the immune system. We use a combination of computational, microbiologic, immunologic and systems biology approaches to study how the microbial ecology of the gut, airways and other mucosal surfaces interacts with host factors to modulate susceptibility to various diseases.
We are a part of the Center for Women's Infectious Disease Research (cWIDR), Division of Allergy and Immunology and Department of Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine. Our lab is located in the BJC Institute of Health building.
